Psalms 15 furnishes us with a list of many of the necessary traits. King David described a righteous man who walks in integrity and gains not only the respect of others but also an audience with God (Ps. 16:1-2). He demonstrates why predetermined values and ethics, not expediency must drive our leadership. How King David does pictures a godly leader? The leader: 1. Possesses integrity (v.2) 2. Does what is right (v.2) 3. Is honest and trustworthy (v.2) 4. Does not gossip (v.3) 5. Does no harm to others (v.3) 6. Speaks out against wrong (v.4) 7. Honours others who walk in truth(v.4) 8. Keeps their word even it costs them (v.4) 9. Is not greedy to gain at the expense of others (v.5) 10. Takes no bribes against anyone (v.5) 11.
