King Solomon knew a thing or two about wise investing. He counsels willing leaders to be generous, giving before they receive. Why should leaders initiate giving? Wisdom teaches that eventually, they will receive hefty reward. Wise leaders embrace the following truths about generosity: 1. Givers go first (v. 1) 2. Givers receive a return (v. 2) 3. The return may not be immediate (v.1) 4. Giving does not prevent misfortune (vv. 2, 3) 5. If you do not give, one cannot expect a return (v. 4) 6. The return will be in proportion to one’s giving (v. 6) 7. The motive for giving is love YAHWEH. (v. 9). 8. Trust is earned and mutual. DO NOT ACT URIAH. 9. The law of the lid: As the leader goes, so the Nation (1 king 14: 1-15, 34) 10. Leadership ability determines a person’s level of effectiveness (2 Samuel 5: 1-4). 11.
